Review: It's In His Kiss
Title: It's In His Kiss
Author: Jill Shalvis

I received this ebook from Netgalley. This is my honest review.
Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.
Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?
I never know what to expect for romance novels--sometimes they're too over the top and cheesy for me. But this one I loved! It was charming, funny, honest, and real. Both main characters were easy to relate to and people I wanted to know in real life. I loved Becca and Sam as characters, and rooted for them throughout the book because they were so real. The author did a great job with the setting as well--Lucky Harbor sounds so wonderful and friendly, I'd love to go there!
This book is #10 in the Lucky Harbor series, none of which I've read, and it still made sense to me and wasn't confusing, so don't worry about jumping into the middle of the series (though I'm completely looking forward to reading #11, entitled "He's So Fine."). This one can definitely be read as a stand-alone and make sense.
If you're looking for a romance novel that will warm your heart and brighten your day, this is the book for you. I literally couldn't put it down--I read it in just over 24 hours. I doubt you'll regret reading this one!
