Dewey's 24 hour Readathon!

Image
So I've been so busy lately that I totally missed that tomorrow is the Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon !!  But I found out just in time to sign up for tomorrow's event. If you're like me and forgot--you can still sign up to participate!!  I love the goal of reading 1 million pages as a reading community--that's what I love about readathon events like this! I'll be posting my updates on my Twitter and Instagram /Instastories pages.  Here's what I'll be reading tomorrow:   I'm just shy of 100 pages in on this 400+ pager, so I'm hoping to make good progress in this one tomorrow! I'm really enjoying it so far and excited to have an extra excuse to read. What are you reading this weekend? Happy Friday and Happy Readathon!

Books I've Been Loving this Week           Picked this one up from the library on Wednesday and have read a few chapters. Loving it so far! Believe it or not, this is my first time reading a Meg Wolitzer book! 3. When I Wasn't Reading     It was unusually warm in Oregon this week--like, 80 degrees--and it was glorious! I didn't go to the gym hardly at all this week and opted for getting my workouts done outside in the sunshine since the forecast calls for rain this weekend. On Monday we walked the pups down to Dutch Bros (for those of you who aren't from Oregon--it's a super popular coffee chain around here). We got coffee and the pups got milk bone treats with whipped cream on them! Round trip it was nice 3.5 mile walk and got

I read all of  Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows , the March Reese Witherspoon book club pick that finally came in for me at the library.  I really enjoyed it! I also started the April pick, Happiness . Memoirs can be hit or miss for me....so I'm surprised I'm flying through this one!   Inspired by Brandie at Running on Words and Wine and Kim at Kimberlyfaye Reads ,I've created my own Friday post! 1. New Books this Week     Just checked out this book from the library yesterday. I'm obsessed with the cover!   2. Books I've Been Loving this Week      I finished Waking up in Eden the other night and absolutely loved it. It's nonfiction that reads like fiction and is set in Kauai. I started How to Walk Away this week and was sucked in from the first chapter. When you read the blurb it sounds like a super downer of a book, but it's so well written. Will post a full review closer to its publishing date (May 15). 3. When I Wasn't Reading   Wine + Yoga was Monday night! My favorite yoga teacher taught Monday's class and it was exactly what I needed! I also had a really good 4 mile run at the gym on Wednesday.
