From Goodreads:

Lila Bennett’s bad choices have finally caught up with her. And one of those decisions has split her life in two. Literally.

In one life, she’s taken hostage by someone who appears to be a stranger but knows too much. As she’s trapped in a concrete cell, her kidnapper forces her to face what she’s done or be killed. In an alternate life, she eludes her captor but is hunted by someone who is dismantling her happiness, exposing one secret at a time.

Lila’s decorated career as a criminal defense attorney, her marriage, and her life are on the line. She must make a list of those she’s wronged—both in and out of the courtroom—to determine who is out to get her before it’s too late. But even if she can pinpoint her assail…

When We Believed in Mermaids was a fantastic, five star read. My review is posted here!

I've had several friends recommend Red, White and Royal Blue and it's just as delightful as everyone's said! What a fun read. Also got sucked in pretty quickly to The Two Lila Bennetts--it's a great read so far.

TLC Book Tours: When We Believed in Mermaids (Review)

About When We Believed in MermaidsPaperback: 352 pages
Publisher: Lake Union Publishing (July 16, 2019)
From the author of The Art of Inheriting Secrets comes an emotional new tale of two sisters, an ocean of lies, and a search for the truth.
Her sister has been dead for fifteen years when she sees her on the TV news…
Josie Bianci was killed years ago on a train during a terrorist attack. Gone forever. It’s what her sister, Kit, an ER doctor in Santa Cruz, has always believed. Yet all it takes is a few heart-wrenching seconds to upend Kit’s world. Live coverage of a club fire in Auckland has captured the image of a woman stumbling through the smoke and debris. Her resemblance to Josie is unbelievable. And unmistakable. With it comes a flood of emotions—grief, loss, and anger—that Kit finally has a chance to put to rest: by finding the sister who’s been living a lie.
After arriving in New Zealand, Kit begins her journey with the memories of the past: of days spent on the beach with…

Unfortunately, this one was disappointing.  I was excited to read a book about yoga but I felt like it was way too cheesy and over the top. I really enjoyed Summer on Mirror Lake--finished it last night. Though predictable, I've loved the Honeymoon Harbor series. The characters are great and I love the PNW setting.

I'm listening to Queen Bee on audio. At first I wasn't into it but about 40% through I started loving it. I should finish it today. I plan on starting Whisper Network today at lunch!

Appologies for the lack of blog posts lately--last week at work was insane, and I have this week off (yay!) so I'm really trying to spend some time relaxing and reading!

I Heart Hawaii was just OK for me. However, I LOVED Incursion. Blake Crouch is amazing! Read my review here. Just finished The Lemon Sisters last night--the third book in the Wildstone series. I loved it!

I'm struggling through The Dragonfly Sea. The writing is gorgeous, and I like the characters, but it moves along slowly and is 500 pages.  I'm only 100 pages in and I'm at that point where I'm deciding if I keep going or DNF. Sigh. Started my eARC of Breathe In, Cash Out last night--I've been in need of some lighter reading lately and The Lemon Sisters and this one are perfect for that!
