Dewey's 24 Hour Readthon

This Saturday (October 26th) is Dewey's 24 hour readathon.  It's a super fun event where readers from around the world read around the clock for one 24 hour period of time. In addtion to reading, participants post updates on social media about their progress and what they are reading, connect with other readers, and participate in mini challenges.

Though I can't commit to doing the full 24 hours (those of you that do this are AMAZING!), I'm definitely going to read and connect online when I can. I just love the idea of readers around the world coming together on one day to read and talk about their love of books!

I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately (as I discussed  in my post last Wednesday). I did get a lot of reading time in yesterday where I was able to focus and calm down a bit to read, so I'm hoping that continues this week and that the readathon helps!

Not totally sure what I'll be reading yet (depends on what I finish this week) but you can follow my updates on my Twitter and Instagram feed!

You don't have to have a blog to sign up! Sign up here and connect with others through social media channels!

Happy Reading, friends!

  2. I really love this idea. What a great way to unite a group of people! Plus, it might be a chance to get some new books added to my TBR.
