I LOVED the latest from Liz and Lisa (here's my review). It was such a great, page turning read and I loved the magical realism element. I also read Mexican Gothic and was surprised by how much I liked it. The genre is not one I typically read at all and this was a definite #bookstagrammademedoit read and I'm glad I did.I'm reading it in a buddy read group and I'm excited to discuss it! I heard about I Was Told It Would Get Easier on the Currently Reading podcast (if you don't listen, you should!) and I knew I'd love it! Here's my review.

If you've followed my Instagram you've seen my Hamilton obsession! I absolutely LOVED the film version of the musical. Whenever I watch anything based off a book, I immediately want to read the book that inspired it. So....I downloaded the Alexander Hamilton biography on my Kindle! It's fantastic so far. It's 800+ pages, so my goal is to finish it in 2020! Chernow's writing style is excellent--it doesn't read like a history book. It reads like he's sitting there with you, having a cup of coffee and telling you a story. I too often get intimidated by long books and I'm determined to read this one! I'm reading Becoming A Student Ready College for a book group for work--it's good so far. I also JUST started What You Wish For--I just love Katherine Center's books!

I'm on the blog tour for Paris Never Leaves You and The Friendship List in early August! So those as well as the other two are on my soon to be read list!
What are you reading this week? Happy Reading!
