In this terrible year, there was one bright spot: SO MANY fantastic books. Narrowing down to my top ten was HARD, friends. While most came out in 2020, this list is books I READ in 2020. I also couldn't narrow it down to just ten...so here are all my favorites!               I'd also like to document two other books I loved this year that were a a huge reading accomplishment for me. Both of these were five star reads as well as 800+ pages.  These were both phenomenal books! What were your top reads of 2020? I hope you had as good a reading year as I did!!

   Bout of Books 30 is set to start January 4! Bout of Books is my absolute favorite reading event, and I am super excited for another round of it! What better way to kick off 2021? It wasn't on my radar at all until I saw that it was a BOTM selection. Two flaws that really bother me are 1) not being able to give half stars and 2) No DNF shelf. I use the three main ones--Want to Read, Read, and Currently Reading. I definitely with they had a DNF shelf.  I created a DNF shelf, but I only shelve books there if I made it a significant amount in the book (usually, 30%) because you still have to make it as read to shelf it on your custom, DNF shelf. What are you currently reading?  What do you think you'll read next?    Recently Finished   Unfortunately, I didn't love Mina Lee. I thought it had potential, and I liked Mina's perspective more than Margot's. It started out well, then I got bored int the middle and it didn't improve from there. I did love True to Me--it's set in Maui and it was just the escape I needed! I listened on audio and loved it. Currently Reading     No Place Too Far is the follow up to True to Me, so I absolutely wanted to dive right in. I'm also enjoying some non fiction--The Secret Life of Groceries is super interesting so far. Food politics is so fascinating to me, even if it's is depressing sometimes.
