High Five for Friday: April 27

Inspired by Brandie at Running on Words and Wine and Kim at Kimberlyfaye Reads,I've created my own Friday post!

1. New Books this Week

Just got approved for this one on NetGalley!

2. Books I've Been Loving this Week

 35480518

Picked this one up from the library on Wednesday and have read a few chapters. Loving it so far! Believe it or not, this is my first time reading a Meg Wolitzer book!

3. When I Wasn't Reading

It was unusually warm in Oregon this week--like, 80 degrees--and it was glorious! I didn't go to the gym hardly at all this week and opted for getting my workouts done outside in the sunshine since the forecast calls for rain this weekend. On Monday we walked the pups down to Dutch Bros (for those of you who aren't from Oregon--it's a super popular coffee chain around here). We got coffee and the pups got milk bone treats with whipped cream on them! Round trip it was nice 3.5 mile walk and got us out enjoying the warmth!

 4. So Random

Last Sunday my friend and I went to a Yoga class at Brooks Wines. We've been before and it's just a gorgeous location. It was sunny enough that we could choose to be outside on the deck for class. Though it was a little chilly, the fresh air and the beautiful view were amazing! When we were there, another yogi mentioned she was from Michigan. Like actually visiting this week from Detroit--her husband was in Salem on business and she took an uber out to with winery for yoga! It was so fun to chat with er and hear her perspective on Oregon.

 5. Weekend Plans

We do have plans this weekend--meeting up with some friends at a brewery on Saturday and having other friends over for a BBQ on Sunday. Luckily for the BBQ we have a covered patio so it won't matter if it's raining! Hoping to get some reading in on Saturday. Saturday is also Independent Bookstore Day! Planning on visiting some indie bookstores this weekend!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Tomorrow is the 24 hour readathon, too! I am hoping to get some reading time for part of the day. We don't have your warm temps, but it's getting a little nicer here. Enjoy the weekend!
