Bout of Books 27: Updates

Bout of Books

Bout of Books 27 starts Monday! It's the best way to get back into things after the holiday break, and a great way to start the new year! If you're new to Bout of Books or want more details, my sign up post is a great place to look.

In the past I've set page goals, book goals, and other types of goals. In the more recent Bout of Books, I've set super relaxed goals--finish one book, have fun, and connect with others! These are definitely still my goals for Bout of Books 27. The main goal of Bout of Books is to read an have fun, so I don't want to stress myself out by counting pages. But--if that's what makes YOU happy and have fun, go for it! It's just not what works for me. So as far as stats go, I will only be reporting number of books read.

Also, the Bout of Books team named me a Bout of Books Expert, which basically means I've participated in A LOT of these great readathons! Feel free to ask questions or connect!

The Books

Here are the books that are on my January TBR--which ones I read for Bout of Books depends on what I read this weekend!

If you're following my on Instagram, you know that I'm participating in #theunreadshelfproject2020 this year! It's hosted by Whitney over at The Unread Shelf. I counted up all my unread books (physical and kindle) and I had over 100 my 2020 goal is to read some of them! Whitney is awesome and has monthly goals to help participants accomplish this goal, and January is simple: pick a book, any book from your unread shelf and read it by January 31! I asked you on Instagram which I should pick, and Homegoing was a popular response! Others included The Nightingale (I too am shocked I haven't read it yet)  and The Goldfinch--both of which are also priorities for 2020.
