Though many people LOVED Miracle Creek, it was just ok for me. Maybe it wasn't the right time? Currently Reading   Life As A Unicorn and Ready Player One are both for book clubs and I'm loving them both so far! I'm also enjoying The Moon is Missing--I loved Jenni Ogden's 2016 novel A Drop in the Ocean and was exited to see she had a new book! Up Next     What are you reading this week? Happy Reading!

What are you planning to read next?  Unfortunately, we are still dealing with lots of wildfires and smoke here in Oregon. Fortunately my community is safe but the air quality is so hazardous we can't go outside. Lots of reading time!  Sending love to all those affected by these horrible fires. Recently Finished     Yes, I finished both 11/22/63 and the Hamilton biography last weekend! I feel so accomplished! You can read my reviews of these ones in this post.  I started Her Last Flight, but....didn't love it.  There were two different perspectives it switched between, and I LOVED one of them  and was bored through the other. There were too many other books calling my name so unfortunately had to DNF. This was my first Beatriz Williams...should I try more?

My biggest accomplishment as of late is finishing not one, but two 800+ page books! I finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King and Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow over the weekend. I'd been working my way through the Hamilton biography since July 8--reading a bit here and there. I finished 11/22/63 on audio in 3 weeks--as it was a library loan. I decided to do one blog post for both of these books today.  Yes, I see the irony of the mini reviews for the giant books :) Both of these were five star reads for me! I read Alexander Hamilton   (click the title for link to Goodreads and synopsis)by Ron Chernow after watching the Hamilton musical on Disney Plus.  It was such a fantastic read that I'm sad I wasn't motivated to read it before! Despite being 800+ pages, it didn't feel like it was dragging at all--Chernow did so much research and provided so much information that it stayed interesting throughout the whole book. What are you planning to read next?  Greetings from Oregon--if you can, please send us some positive vibes.  A large part of our state is consumed by wildfires.  Many communities and counties have been evacuated and some communities in the Santiam Canyon east of Salem, OR are a total loss. I grew up camping and traveling through there and I'm heartbroken. The community where I live is about a 45+ minute drive, so we are safe, but the smoke and ash is super intense right now. Recently Finished       I LOVED The Death ofVivek Oji. It was a beautiful, heartbreaking story. I highly recommend it. I also read Midnight Sun--as a Twilight fan I knew I had to read it.
